Things to Do This Weekend with Kids Near Chicago

I get this question all the time, “What is there to do with kids this weekend?” And with COVID, it has become especially hard to find things to do that are fun, different, and “COVID-friendly.” That is why I am so excited, especially this year, to bring my family to the Dirt Oval, aka the Dirty ‘O. Don’t let the name scare you. The fans here are like family. And the GM, Sherri, is all about giving the ultimate fan experience. I don’t know of anywhere else in the United States where you can go camp outdoors the night before, tailgate hours before, then go watch a race, hit a car with a baseball bat for a donation to breast cancer, eat amazing food and watch the best fireworks show in the MidWest. Of course, this is all just my opinion. But, I am so happy that we have “this place.” Thank you Sherri and #TeamDirt for your commitment to the fans, and for the charity work you tie to your events. Whether you know it our not, you are making a difference in people’s lives.
