Truly feed your appetite for destruction by competing in the watermelon eating contest! Sign-up at the pre-race party zone on race day. Meet your favorite drivers at the Stars of the Cars autograph session in the party zone from 4:30 – 6:30pm. Numerous Team Demo and Figure-8 cars & drivers will be there.

Monster trucks roar into the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway for one huge night of destruction! See eight monster truck superstars throwdown on a brand new track and crush everything in sight.

The monster truck lineup includes rising star Cory Rummell driving Rage! Rummell is the first person to ever backflip a Mega truck and has worked his way up to a full-time ride with Team Scream racing alongside Avenger, Brutus and Wrecking Crew. There’s no question the ‘path of Rage’ runs straight through The Dirt Oval!

Street truck, big rig semi, dump truck, tow truck, cement mixer… any kind of TRUCK! We want to see ’em all at Monster Mayhem on August 6. You’ll join the 8 competing monster trucks on display inside the Dirt Oval 66 pre-race pit party from 4-7pm.

All fans in attendance will get to view your mega machine up close before the monster truck main event! Participation is FREE with paid admission for Monster Mayhem.

Scout Night is back and now includes a full 2-day camping and VIP experience! All levels of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from Illinois and beyond are welcome and each scout can earn the first-ever Dirt Oval 66 badge. There’s still camp sites available for your troop!

Tournament of Destruction Round 3 on July 23 will mark the 75th Team Demolition Derby event at Route 66 Raceway.

This week’s throwback photo involves 2 drivers whom raced in Team Demo event #3, #35 and will be racing in #75. “Speedy” Steve Vollbrecht was a major factor in Full Throttle’s win last month in the #47 car. Here he is in #74 on Killer Bees delivering a monstrous smash to #86 Dave Swan of Damage, Inc. (watch the video here)
Swan owned and race on Damage, Inc for 15 seasons as well as jumped behind the wheel for numerous other teams including Mean Green Machine, Locomotives and even the Canadian team Border Patrol. Now days, he’s a fixture on Chicago Hitmen.
