Famous Dirt Oval Fireworks Display
While fireworks tend to be reserved for large holidays and big city tourist activities, you can always catch
one heck of a show at Dirt Oval 66. Here at the Dirty O, the night isn’t over until we light up the sky.
While our fans keep coming back for our action–packed events, the promise of a sweet fireworks show
keeps them in their seats until the very last second.
History of Fireworks
America has a long history with fireworks dating back to the very first Independence Day. They’ve
become our own personal celebration of freedom and a symbol of all the hopes and dreams being an
American means. Fireworks have come a long way since then with all kinds of different colors, sizes,
deliveries, and shapes available for our viewing pleasure.
According to Wonderopolis, “Firecrackers are rolled paper tubes filled with black powder (also called gunpowder).
They might also be filled with flash paper and a fuse. When you light the fuse of a firecracker, the fire
burns along the fuse. Eventually, it reaches the powder. When it does, the firecracker explodes.”
What makes the firework finales at the Dirty O spectacular is the anticipation of the evening coming to
an end. Regardless of whether the Team Demo team you were rooting on won or lost, the show puts a smile
on everyone’s face as they start off slow, building consistently until the climactic ending full of colors
and light. In that moment, everyone is entranced, indulging in the moment of being a pure kid again.
Sometimes we’ll switch it up and do themed shows like the “Red, White, & Blue finale” we held earlier this
summer to honor first responders. Or you might see an extra pink pop in the Racin’ for Boobs fireworks finale in September.
No matter what, it’s sure to bring a little joy and excitement to wrap up your evening. We can’t think of
a better way to spend the weekend. Can you? Book tickets at one of our upcoming events!
