Five-O at the Dirty “O” Police Car Racing

Speeding, failure to yield, and reckless driving are not only likely to happen; it’s all encouraged! Officers and First Responders from across the Midwest will battle in the Crown Victoria / Police Interceptors on the full 3/8th mile track for the return of the Five-O @ the Dirty “O” police car race! All drivers have raised a minimum of $500 in donations for Tunnel to Towers to be allowed to compete for the top prize of $5,000!

PLUS: Dirty “O” Spectator series race 2 of 3 on the infield oval and wild body styles from the Vintage Racing of Illinois division on the full oval track! Preliminary heats and Features expected for all three classes of competition.

Racing to support heroes across the country

Gaining the advantage in the 15-Lap Five-O main event race means being more than the fastest first responder. The starting grid is determined by total donations raised by each driver for the nationally recognized Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Whomever collects the most dollars will sit in the pole position! Over $10,000 in donations are expected and at least one former winner of the Five-O is returning to protect his title!

Tunnel to Towers

All funds & donations raised during this event will benefit Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in honor of firefighter Stephen Gerard Siller, who gave up his life to help others on September 11, 2011 at the World Trade Center. Tunnel to Towers provides homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families and specially-adapted smart homes for injured veterans. They also strive to end veteran homelessness and continue the memory of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11.
 

Throwback Racing

Pre-1977 or pre-1988 Ford & Chrysler steel body OEM factory designs sitting on top of full frame racing chassis! This fun and competitive series makes its debut at Dirt Oval 66 for stop #7 of 8 on their 2024 tour after having thrilled race fans at Macon Speedway, Farmer City Raceway, and Tri County in Mendota, among others.
